Busy busy

It's been a busy couple of days! Yesterday's photo of the day was to represent where I live so I got a photo of the fireplace at my fave mall, Memorial City! My reason for going there yesterday was for that beautiful bag of gold from American Girl! I fought the crowd and I won. Christmas morning will find 2 very happy girls at my house! Holly continues to surprise us everyday. Today, she is reading her book to her friends. And, last but not least today's photo of the day is the beautiful Houston Temple. the theme is stars and the nativity reminded me of the new star that led to the Savior:-) I spent the morning there and I feel blessed:-)

Santa

Today, Holly decorated her own tree. Last night, the girls wrote letters to Santa so Holly could deliver them. This morning, they got a letter back!

20 days until Christmas!

Well, the countdown continues and our elf is still at it. As far as the December photo challenge goes... Yesterday's theme was black + white so I took a picture of the cloudy, rainy sky. Today's theme is looking up so I took a picture of my chin up bar which I used this morning. Due to the stormy weather yesterday, our German Shepherd was freaking out as usual. So he darted out the door when I went to pick up A.J. from school and so he rode with me. Apparently, he doesn't like Jr. High kids either because he barked at every last kid that walked by the car. I guess I can understand. It is an awkward age;-). Also, last night was Isabel's school choir concert. It was so good! She did great and she gets to sing again at the school's winter wonderland on Friday:-)

I'm doing a December photo challenge with a new theme for each day. Yesterday was 'something you held'. I put this picture of my steering wheel because I spent a lot of time in the car! And this morning, Holly was brushing Isabel's doll's hair:-). But Isabel took the brush back before I could get the picture!

Sick kids and cheerful elves

Poor little Isabel is having to use the nebulizer 3 times a day. These rapid changes in the weather are taking a toll. Meanwhile, Holly cheered her up this morning by making a snowy North Pole breakfast of powdered donuts and cinnamon rolls!

Gabby's Birthday

Gabby had a great celebration yesterday! I took her favorite pepperoni sub to her at lunch! She had cupcakes with her class. She got her name put up on the school marquee and even had a special visit from her kindergarten teacher who is no longer at the school! Then, we went out for pizza and came home to presents and cookie cake!

And, this morning Holly left a surprise in the refrigerator. She colored the milk pink. So, the girls had pink cereal. They are also both home sick today and enjoying their favorite Christmas movies until their doctor's appointment.
